How Alternatives Compare
Backyard Discovery Mount McKinley Cedar Swing Set
The Mount McKinley is slightly narrower at 150 inches but longer at 186 inches, making it a better fit for deep yards. It weighs 308 pounds, which is 32 pounds more than the Beach Front. This extra mass suggests a sturdier feel. You get extensive climbing and swinging features, similar to the Beach Front, but without the sandbox or snack bar. The model is 1705012. If you prioritize climbing capacity over sensory play areas, this cedar set is a solid choice. It keeps the durable cedar build you expect from the brand.
Backyard Discovery Canyon Creek Cedar Playset
The Canyon Creek is the largest option here, measuring 183 inches wide and 188 inches long. It weighs 387 pounds, significantly heavier than the Beach Front. This set offers a robust layout for families needing a large play area. It features a green slide, whereas the Beach Front has a wave slide. The Canyon Creek is designed for extensive play zones. It is ideal for those with ample space who value cedar construction and multi-child play capacity. If you need more footprint and weight for stability, this premium option delivers.
Sportspower Cedar Wooden Playset with Saucer Swing
The Sportspower set is much smaller, at 107 inches wide and 137 inches long. It is ideal for smaller yards. It features a saucer swing, which differs from the classic belt swings on the Beach Front. This model supports a 500 lb capacity, which is higher than typical cedar sets. It is built for active families with children aged 3 to 8. The color scheme includes green and brown. If you need a compact footprint but want high weight limits and group play features, this budget-friendly cedar option is a practical alternative.
Backyard Discovery Sterling Point Cedar Swing Set
The Sterling Point is massive, measuring 246 inches wide and 201 inches long. It weighs 606 pounds, making it the heaviest option. It offers a spacious clubhouse and a wide slide. This set is designed for yards with ample room. It features a green slide. The height is 130 inches, which is taller than the Beach Front. It is ideal for active families who want a raised clubhouse experience. If you have a very large yard and want a substantial cedar build with extensive features, this model provides significant play value.
Gorilla Playsets Outing Cedar Dual Slide Swing Set
The Gorilla Outing is 180 inches wide and 150 inches long. It weighs 293 pounds, which is close to the Beach Front. It offers dual slides, providing more variety than the single wave slide. The canopy provides shade, which is a key feature. The model is 01-1070-Y with a yellow color scheme. It is practical for families with limited yard space who want dual slide excitement without the bulk. If you want shade and multiple slides in a compact cedar frame, this option is a sensible choice.
Backyard Discovery Cedar Cove Dual-Slide Swing Set
The Cedar Cove is 183 inches wide and 220 inches long, making it longer than the Beach Front. It weighs 492 pounds. It features a dual-level clubhouse and a rock wall, offering more climbing complexity. The color is light brown. It is designed for families seeking a comprehensive backyard adventure center. If you want multi-level play and extensive climbing features in a durable cedar construction, this set is a strong alternative. It sacrifices the sandbox area for more vertical play structures.
