Tellico vs Elkhorn Specs Compared
Overall Footprint
The Tellico Terrace measures 16'6" long, 14'4" wide, and 10'3" high. This creates a substantial base for your backyard play area. The Elkhorn model is slightly more compact at 15'1" long and 12' wide, while sharing the same 10'3" height. If you have limited yard space, the Elkhorn’s narrower width might fit better. However, the Tellico offers more ground coverage for movement. You should measure your available area carefully before deciding, as both require significant clearance for safe swinging.
Slide Variety
Tellico Terrace includes two distinct slides: a turbo tube slide and a cool wave slide. Both are backed by a lifetime warranty against cracks and breaks. The Elkhorn comes with only one slide, the cool wave slide, which also carries a lifetime warranty. Having two slides allows for simultaneous use, reducing wait times for children. If you prefer variety in sliding styles, the Tellico provides both a tube and a wave option. The Elkhorn focuses on a single wave design.
Weight Capacity
The Elkhorn swing set supports significantly heavier users on its swings. Its heavy-duty swings and ring/trapeze support up to 250 pounds each. The Tellico Terrace lists a weight limit of 115 pounds per swing seat. This difference is crucial if older children or adults plan to use the equipment. The Elkhorn’s higher capacity makes it more durable for growing families or larger users. The Tellico’s lower limit suggests it is optimized for younger children.
Total Weight
The Tellico Terrace weighs 579 pounds when fully assembled. The Elkhorn weighs 420 pounds. The Tellico is 159 pounds heavier, likely due to its larger frame and additional slide structure. A heavier structure often feels more stable during vigorous play. However, the Tellico’s extra weight may make assembly and leveling more difficult. The Elkhorn is lighter, which might simplify the installation process. You should consider the physical effort required for setup.
Swing Features
Tellico Terrace includes two swing seats with coated chains and a single child glider swing. The Elkhorn features heavy-duty swings and a ring/trapeze. The Tellico offers a glider, which provides a different type of motion for younger kids. The Elkhorn’s trapeze ring allows for hanging and swinging exercises. Both sets provide multiple ways to play. The choice depends on whether you prefer the glider’s smooth motion or the trapeze’s active challenge.
Which Swing-N-Slide Model Fits Your Needs
Parents needing extra play space

Families with heavier children
The Elkhorn set supports up to 250 pounds per swing. This capacity is significantly higher than the 115-pound limit on the Tellico Terrace. The heavy-duty swings and ring support larger users safely. The compact 15'1" length fits smaller spaces. You still get a climbing wall and a lifetime warranty on the wave slide.
Buyers with limited backyard space
