Specs and Features Compared
Weight capacity
Product A, the Trekassy 60" Platform Saucer Swing, lists a dual capacity specification. The steel frame supports 440 lbs, while the swing seat itself is rated for 700 lbs. This allows for heavier adult use on the seat without stressing the frame. Product B, the Trekassy 440lbs Swing Set, specifies a total weight capacity of 440 lbs for the entire structure. While sufficient for children, it does not offer the same high seat-specific rating as Product A. If you plan for adults to share the swing, Product A provides a higher safety margin for the seating area.
Included components
Product B comes with two distinct swinging options: a 32-inch saucer swing and a classic belt swing. This variety allows for different play styles, such as lying down or sitting upright. Product A includes only one large 60-inch platform saucer swing. While the saucer is spacious, you lose the option of a traditional belt swing for gentle gliding. Product B offers more versatility in how you can use the set, accommodating multiple children or different preferences simultaneously. Product A focuses on a single, larger communal experience.
Assembled dimensions
Product A measures 64 inches wide, 68 inches long, and 72 inches high. It has a narrower footprint but stands taller. Product B is wider at 86.6 inches and deeper at 64.6 inches, with a height of 66.9 inches. Product B requires more ground space due to its width and the inclusion of two swings. Product A is more compact in width, which might fit better in narrower yards. However, Product B is shorter, which could be preferable for smaller children who cannot reach high bars easily.
Material and finish
Product A features a steel frame with no specific finish mentioned in the key specs, though variations include black or green/tan frames. Product B explicitly uses powder-coated steel, which offers rust resistance and durability against weather. Product B also includes rust-resistant zinc-plated chains for the belt swing. Product A does not specify chain material or coating details in the provided data. For long-term outdoor exposure, the powder-coated and zinc-plated components of Product B provide clearer corrosion protection compared to the unspecified finish of Product A.
Swing shape and size
Product A features a large 60-inch diameter saucer swing. This size accommodates multiple users comfortably, including adults. Product B includes a 32-inch saucer swing, which is significantly smaller. The smaller saucer in Product B is better suited for one or two children. The larger saucer in Product A is better for group play or larger individuals. If you need a swing for adults or big groups, Product A’s 60-inch diameter is the superior choice. Product B’s smaller saucer is less versatile for larger users.
Which Trekassy Swing Set Fits Your Yard
Parents needing space for multiple children
This model includes two distinct swings: a 32-inch saucer and a classic belt swing. The wider footprint of 86.6 inches accommodates both seats side by side. This setup allows siblings or friends to play simultaneously, making it the ideal choice for families who want shared outdoor activities in their backyard.
Users wanting a single large adult swing
The 60-inch diameter platform saucer offers ample room for adults or multiple children to sit together. The seat itself supports up to 700 lbs, exceeding the frame's 440 lb limit. This high seat capacity ensures safety and comfort for heavier users who want a relaxed, spacious swinging experience.
Those with limited horizontal yard space
This unit measures 64 inches in width and 68 inches in length, fitting into smaller areas. In contrast, the two-swing model requires a width of 86.6 inches. If your patio or garden has narrow dimensions, the single-platform design provides the necessary play area without dominating the available floor space.
Buyers seeking versatile seating options
You get a belt swing with rust-resistant zinc-plated chains and an adjustable saucer swing. The belt swing features a soft EVA seat, while the saucer uses wipe-clean Oxford fabric. This variety lets you switch between gentle gliding and lying down, adapting to different play styles and user preferences easily.
