How Alternatives Compare to Original
Sportspower Applewood Cedar Swing Set
The Sportspower Applewood Cedar Swing Set swaps the LED night-play features for a robust double A-frame design. It measures 108 inches wide and 130 inches long, making it slightly narrower but longer than the original. At 133 pounds, it is heavier, suggesting denser construction. This model suits families prioritizing structural stability and deck amenities over lighting. It lacks the saucer swing and sandbox found in the original, focusing instead on heavy-duty support for active play. Choose this if you need a wider footprint for multiple children but do not require battery-operated lights.
Sportspower Cedar Wooden Playset with Saucer Swing
This Sportspower Cedar Playset matches the original’s 107-inch width and 137-inch length, offering a nearly identical footprint. It weighs slightly less than the original, though specific weight data is not listed. The key difference is the inclusion of a saucer swing without the LED night-play components. It features a green and brown color scheme rather than grey and teal. This option is ideal for families who want the same large play area and high capacity but prefer traditional swing types over illuminated ones. It provides a simpler setup without battery maintenance for the swings.
Sportspower Augusta Cedar Wooden Playset
The Sportspower Augusta Cedar Swing Set is significantly more compact, measuring 116 inches wide but only 105 inches long. It weighs 133 pounds, similar to the Applewood model. This set lacks the play fort, sandbox, and LED features of the original, offering a more streamlined play experience. It is designed for high-capacity family use but with fewer varied activities. Choose this alternative if you have limited yard length but still need a sturdy cedar structure. It provides essential swinging and sliding without the extensive footprint or night-play requirements of the Amelia Galaxy model.
Sportspower Grand Teton 6 ft Slide Cedar Swing Set
The Sportspower Grand Teton Cedar Swing Set is the most compact option, measuring 103 inches wide and 111 inches long. It weighs 122 pounds, making it lighter than the original. This model offers essential features like adjustable swings and a slide but omits the fort, sandbox, and LED lights. It is best for households with limited space who prioritize safety and sturdy construction over extensive play features. If you need a smaller wooden playset that still fits a backyard without requiring the large footprint of the original, this is a practical alternative.
AkiiGer Cedar Playset with Wave Slide and Sandbox
The AkiiGer Cedar Playset offers a different layout, measuring 123 inches wide and 108 inches long. It includes a wave slide, ladder, and sandbox, providing varied play activities similar to the original but without LED features. This set is wider, requiring more yard space, and lacks the specific fort and chalk tarp of the original. It suits families with ample outdoor space who want a comprehensive cedar unit with multiple play zones. If you prefer a sandbox and wave slide over a saucer swing and LED elements, this alternative offers a distinct play experience.
Trekassy 6 ft A-Frame 60-Inch Platform Swing
The Trekassy 6 ft A-Frame Swing Set is a steel saucer swing, not a full wooden playset. It measures 64 inches wide and 68 inches long, making it much smaller than the original. Weighing only 46 pounds, it is portable and easy to install. This option is ideal for shared adult and child swinging, offering a different material and scale. It lacks the slide, fort, sandbox, and multiple swing types of the original. Choose this if you need a compact, heavy-duty steel swing for specific shared play rather than a comprehensive wooden playset with extensive features.
