Who it fits
Good fit for
This set suits families with multiple children who want a versatile play area. The high weight capacity and wide frame accommodate older kids or heavier users safely. If you have a spacious backyard, the large footprint ensures there is enough room for the slide and soccer net without overcrowding. The included ground anchors provide stability for families prioritizing secure installation. It is ideal for households looking for a single unit that combines swinging, sliding, and sports activities.
Who should skip it
Buyers with limited yard space should consider other options. The assembled dimensions of 136 inches wide by 67.7 inches long require a significant amount of ground area. If you have a small patio or narrow backyard, this set may not fit comfortably. Additionally, if you prefer a smaller, less complex play structure, this multi-functional unit might be too large. The assembly process also requires using the included tools and following detailed instructions, which may not suit those seeking a quick, tool-free setup.
Verdict: The Hevaotry 5-in-1 Metal Swing Set offers a robust, multi-activity play solution for spacious yards. Its high weight capacity and comprehensive feature set make it a practical choice for active families.
Key specs explained
Material: Thickened steel tubing, powder-coated
Thickened steel tubing provides a rigid frame that resists wobbling during active play. The powder coating protects the metal from rain and sun, reducing rust risks. You get a structure that holds up better than thin-walled alternatives. This finish also prevents chipping, keeping the set looking new longer. It is a practical choice for outdoor environments where weather exposure is constant and frequent maintenance is undesirable.
Weight Capacity: 440 lb
A 440-pound limit allows multiple children to play simultaneously without stressing the frame. This capacity supports heavier older kids or adults helping with supervision. It exceeds the limits of many standard plastic sets. You can trust the structure to remain stable under dynamic loads. This spec ensures longevity, as the frame is not pushed to its absolute limit during typical backyard use scenarios.
Assembled Dimensions: 136 in W x 67.7 in L x 74.8 in H
These dimensions define the space you need for safe installation. The 136-inch width requires a substantial yard area. The 74.8-inch height dictates clearance above for falling objects or swinging arcs. You must measure your backyard to ensure this footprint fits comfortably. Comparing this to smaller sets helps you decide if you have enough room for safe play zones around the structure.
Installation Type: 7 ground anchors, assembly required
Seven ground anchors provide essential stability by securing the frame to the earth. This prevents tipping during vigorous use or in windy conditions. Assembly is required, meaning you need time and basic tools. This setup method is common for metal sets. It offers greater security than freestanding plastic options. You must ensure the ground is level for proper anchor placement to maintain safety standards effectively.
Design and build specs
According to the listing, the frame uses thickened steel tubing with a powder-coated finish. This material choice provides a rigid structure that resists bending under load. The powder coating adds a layer of protection against weather, which helps the metal last longer in outdoor conditions. Each screw includes a soft silicone protective cover, reducing the risk of scratches during play. The saucer swing is made from wear-resistant Oxford cloth, while the standard seat uses impact-resistant PE plastic. These materials are selected for durability and safety.
The assembled dimensions measure 136 inches wide by 67.7 inches long and 74.8 inches high. This footprint requires a significant area in your yard. The set weighs 68.5 pounds, which makes it heavy enough to stay grounded but manageable for assembly. The A-frame design contributes to its stability, supporting the 440-pound weight capacity. You will need to use the included seven ground anchors to secure the structure firmly to the soil.
The layout includes a slide, a soccer net, and a basketball hoop. The ropes are adjustable, allowing you to accommodate children of different heights. The listing notes that all hardware and tools are included for assembly. You must follow the guide to ensure the frame is level and the connections are tight. The color options vary, but the structural specs remain consistent across variations. This design prioritizes multi-child play and active engagement in a fixed backyard space.
Setup and everyday use
Setting up this Hevaotry swing set requires assembly, but the listing states that all necessary hardware and tools are included. You will receive detailed instructions to guide you through the process. The frame is designed to be secured using seven ground anchors, which you install in your backyard or playground area to ensure stability. The assembled unit is quite large, measuring 136 inches wide, 67.7 inches long, and 74.8 inches high. You should ensure you have sufficient space to accommodate these dimensions comfortably.
Once installed, the swing set supports up to five children playing simultaneously. The structure holds a maximum weight capacity of 440 pounds, thanks to its thickened steel A-frame design. Daily use involves engaging with five distinct features: a saucer swing, a plastic belt swing, a slide, a soccer net, and a basketball hoop. The saucer swing and belt swing use upgraded braided ropes that you can adjust to match your children’s heights. The saucer swing is made from wear-resistant Oxford cloth, while the plastic seat uses durable impact-resistant PE material.
Safety features include soft silicone protective covers on each screw to prevent scratches. The metal tubes are polished and powder-coated to eliminate sharp edges. The soccer net includes three scoring goals, and the set comes with an inflatable soccer ball, an inflatable basketball, and a pump. This configuration allows for varied outdoor activities, helping to strengthen physique through active play.
Before You Buy This Set
Owning this Hevaotry set means planning for its substantial footprint. At 136 inches wide, you need a clear zone free of trees, fences, or play structures that could interfere with the saucer swing’s rotation or the slide’s path. The listing notes the use of ground anchors for stability, so you must ensure your yard surface allows for secure installation. Regular upkeep involves checking the powder-coated steel for scratches and touching them up to prevent rust. The Oxford cloth saucer and PE seats should be wiped down after rain to maintain durability. When comparing this to other options in Swing Sets & Playsets, note its 440-pound capacity. This high limit suits families with multiple children or heavier older kids. Verify that your space accommodates the 74.8-inch height and the full length of the slide. Proper spacing ensures safe, uninterrupted play for all five stations.
