Key specs explained
Material: Plastic
The slide is made from durable plastic rather than wood or metal. This material choice keeps the surface smooth for sliding and reduces the risk of splinters. Plastic is also easier to clean and maintain than natural wood. You should check if the plastic is UV-resistant to ensure it does not fade or become brittle over time when exposed to sunlight.
Deck Height: 4 feet - 6 inch to 5 feet platforms
This attachment is designed specifically for swing set platforms that are between 4 feet 6 inches and 5 feet high. You must verify your existing swing set deck height before purchasing. If your platform is lower or higher than this range, the slide will not fit securely. This specification ensures a safe and stable connection to your current playset structure.
Age Range: 2 to 10 years
The manufacturer recommends this slide for children aged two through ten years old. This range suggests the slide is suitable for toddlers learning to slide and older children who enjoy faster rides. You should consider the size and weight of your children to ensure they fit comfortably within this recommended age bracket for safe usage.
Warranty: Lifetime against cracks and breaks
The product includes a lifetime warranty that covers cracks and breaks in the plastic construction. This protection offers long-term peace of mind against manufacturing defects or material failures. You do not need to worry about replacing the slide due to structural damage under normal use. This warranty is a key factor to compare when evaluating the durability of plastic slide attachments.
Design and build specs
According to the listing, this slide is constructed from durable plastic. This material choice ensures a smooth sliding surface that resists splinters. The gray finish is UV-resistant, which helps prevent fading from sun exposure. You can rely on the material for low maintenance cleaning and long-term durability against cracks and breaks, as it comes with a lifetime warranty for those specific issues. The construction is solid but lightweight, weighing in at just 22 pounds. This low weight makes the unit manageable for assembly and potential relocation, though it still needs secure mounting.
The slide features a unique scoop and wave design. This layout is intended to provide a safe yet exciting ride for children. The dimensions are 103 inches in length, 26 inches in width, and 10 inches in height. These proportions create a substantial slide that requires adequate deck space. It is designed to mount to platforms between 4 feet 6 inches and 5 feet high. This specific deck height requirement means you must ensure your existing swing set platform meets this criteria before installation.
The unit is recommended for ages 2 to 10 years old. This broad age range suggests the slide is versatile for younger toddlers and older children. The included component is solely the alpine slide, so you will need to source any additional hardware or mounting brackets separately if they are not provided. The design focuses on simplicity and safety, with no complex controls or moving parts beyond the slide surface itself. You should verify that your platform can support the weight and dimensions of this attachment.

The plastic construction contributes to this mass without being overly heavy for one person to handle. You can expect the structure to remain stable once mounted to your swing set platform.
Is the gray plastic finish durable in sunlight?
The gray plastic is UV-resistant. This feature helps prevent the material from fading or degrading under direct sun exposure. Durable plastic also resists splinters, keeping the sliding surface smooth. You can rely on the material to maintain its integrity and appearance with regular outdoor use, ensuring a safe play environment over time.
