How Alternatives Compare to Avalon
Gorilla Playsets Avalon Treehouse Swing Set
The Gorilla Avalon Treehouse Swing Set (model 01-1089) is a slightly narrower variant of the original. It measures 150 inches wide compared to the Avalon Dual Slide’s 180-inch width, while maintaining the same 126-inch height and 150-inch length. This model weighs 353 pounds, which is heavier than the original’s 297 pounds, suggesting a more robust frame. It retains the vinyl canopy and treehouse theme. You should choose this if you prefer a compact footprint but still want the shaded, multi-feature play environment with a sandbox. It sacrifices width for a denser structure, making it suitable for yards where lateral space is limited but depth remains available for the 150-inch length.
Gorilla Playsets Outing Swing Set with Dual Slides
The Gorilla Outing Swing Set with Dual Slides offers a different slide configuration. It measures 186 inches in length, which is longer than the original’s 150 inches, while sharing the same 180-inch width and 126-inch height. Weighing 349 pounds, it is significantly heavier than the original. This set features both wave and tube slides, providing varied sliding experiences compared to the original’s dual alpine wave slides. The amber color distinguishes it from the original’s cedar finish. Pick this alternative if you want diverse slide styles and a longer play structure. It is ideal for families seeking a mid-height platform with distinct slide types and additional length for extended play zones.
Sportspower Aspen Vinyl-Covered Wood Swing Set
The Sportspower Aspen Vinyl-Covered Wood Swing Set is a compact alternative for smaller yards. It measures 91.7 inches wide and 73.2 inches long, which is much smaller than the original’s 180 by 150 inches. At 84.7 inches high, it is lower than the original’s 126-inch height. Weighing only 112 pounds, it is far lighter and easier to manage. It features a white and red color scheme and a three-seat swing configuration. This set lacks the treehouse deck, slides, and canopy of the original. Choose this if you need a durable, vinyl-clad frame for limited space. It is best for families prioritizing swing capacity and simplicity over complex play structures and shade coverage.
Hapfan 6-in-1 Steel Treehouse Swing Set
The Hapfan 6-in-1 Steel Treehouse Swing Set uses a steel frame instead of wood. It is 234 inches wide and 112 inches long, with a height of 92.5 inches. Weighing 196 pounds, it is lighter than the original wooden structure. The green and brown color scheme offers a different aesthetic. This set provides a treehouse theme with a steel construction, which may appeal to those seeking durability against moisture. It lacks the specific dual slide and sandbox features of the original. Select this if you prefer a steel frame for large yards. It is suitable for families wanting a treehouse-style play area with diverse activities but without the weight and maintenance of cedar wood.
Gorilla Playsets Treasure Trove Treehouse Swing Set
The Gorilla Treasure Trove Treehouse Swing Set is a much larger wooden structure. It measures 330 inches wide and 228 inches long, with a height of 156 inches. Weighing 100 pounds, it is surprisingly light compared to the original’s 297 pounds, though its dimensions are significantly larger. The amber color contrasts with the original’s cedar finish. This set offers a comprehensive play experience with slides, climbing, and sand play. It is ideal for families with ample space seeking a detailed wooden structure. Choose this if you need maximum play area and vertical height. It provides a more extensive treehouse environment than the original, suitable for large yards requiring substantial play infrastructure.
Gorilla Playsets Ozark II Wood Swing Set
The Gorilla Ozark II Wood Swing Set is a long, shaded structure. It measures 108 inches wide and 222 inches long, with a height of 108 inches. Weighing 419 pounds, it is heavier than the original. The green color differs from the original’s cedar tone. This set provides a spacious, shaded environment with added climbing features. It lacks the dual slides and sandbox of the original but offers a different play focus. Pick this if you prioritize climbing activities and shade over sliding. It is suitable for families with large yards who want a durable wood structure with built-in shade and a longer footprint for varied play zones.
