If you are looking for gorilla playsets 01 1076 avalon wooden swing set alternatives, you should first understand what the original model offers. The Gorilla Playsets Avalon features a 150 by 150 inch footprint with an 800-pound weight capacity. It includes three swing stations, an alpine wave slide, and a rock wall. The heavy 4-by-4 wood framing and vinyl canopy provide durability and shade for children aged 3 to 11.
You might want a different option if your yard has different dimensions or if you prefer other features. Some buyers need a smaller footprint, while others want dual slides or a treehouse theme. The alternatives listed here were chosen because their specifications overlap with the original Avalon. They share similar material types, weight limits, or activity stations. This guide compares these models to help you find a set that fits your specific space and play needs.
Our top pick: Gorilla Playsets Avalon Swing Set with Vinyl Canopy.
How each alternative compares
Gorilla Playsets Ozark II Wood Swing Set
The Gorilla Playsets Ozark II shifts from a square layout to a long rectangular footprint. It measures 108 by 222 inches, providing more linear play space than the Avalon’s 150 by 150 inch design. This model also uses a green canopy instead of the original’s green vinyl roof. It retains the three-station swing setup and heavy-duty wood framing. You gain extra length for running or climbing paths. The trade-off is a narrower width, which may not suit yards with limited depth. It remains a strong choice for families who prioritize extended horizontal play areas over square symmetry.
Gorilla Playsets High Point Wooden Swing Set
The Gorilla Playsets High Point mirrors the Ozark II’s 108 by 222 inch dimensions. It offers a similar rectangular shape but features an amber finish rather than the Avalon’s cedar tone. This model includes a rock wall and slide alongside its swing stations. It targets the same age range of 3 to 11 years. The key difference is the absence of the oversized vinyl canopy found on the Avalon. You get a simpler structure with essential activities. It suits yards where shade coverage is less critical than space efficiency. The design remains durable but focuses on core play elements rather than expanded comfort features.
Gorilla Playsets Avalon Treehouse Swing Set
The Gorilla Playsets Avalon Treehouse shares the same 150 by 150 inch footprint and 126 inch height as the original. It adds a treehouse theme with an upper deck window kit. This model includes dual slides instead of the single alpine wave slide. It also integrates an upper sandbox area and climbing rope. The weight is slightly lower at 353 pounds compared to the original’s 432 pounds. You gain vertical play space and dual sliding options. The trade-off is a lighter overall structure. It is ideal for families wanting a more complex, multi-level experience within the same ground coverage area.
Backyard Discovery Canyon Creek Cedar Playset
The Backyard Discovery Canyon Creek Cedar Playset expands significantly in size. It measures 183 by 188 inches, offering a larger play area than the Avalon’s 150 by 150 inch base. This model features a dual-level clubhouse and a web disc swing. It includes a climbing wall and slide for varied activities. The structure is made of cedar, matching the original’s material preference. You get a more robust, house-like play environment. The trade-off is a larger footprint that requires more yard space. It suits families who want a comprehensive play hub with distinct levels and diverse swinging options.
Gorilla Playsets Outing Swing Set with Dual Slides
The Gorilla Playsets Outing Swing Set with Tube Slide offers a dual-slide configuration. It measures 180 by 186 inches, providing a wider and longer layout than the Avalon. This model features a 4-foot deck and pre-drilled beams for easier assembly. It includes two tube slides and swing stations. The amber finish differs from the original’s cedar color. You gain multiple sliding options and a larger platform. The trade-off is a more complex structure that may require more space. It is best for yards that can accommodate a larger footprint and desire varied sliding experiences alongside standard swings.
Sportspower Aspen Vinyl-Covered Wood Swing Set
The Sportspower Aspen Vinyl-Covered Wood Swing Set is significantly smaller than the Avalon. It measures 91.7 by 73.2 inches, fitting into much tighter spaces. This model includes three swing stations and a vinyl-covered frame. It is designed for low maintenance and ease of care. The height is 84.7 inches, much lower than the original’s 126 inches. You get a compact, durable setup suitable for smaller yards. The trade-off is the lack of slides, climbing walls, or large canopies. It is ideal for families prioritizing safety, simplicity, and minimal footprint over extensive play features.
