If you are searching for gorilla playsets 01 1063 grey outing wood swing set alternatives, you might want to compare a few other options. The original Gorilla Playsets Outing set offers a balanced three-station layout with a cedar roof and climbing features. It measures 15 feet wide by 12.5 feet deep and weighs 320 pounds. This size fits many standard backyards while providing space for swings and a slide.
You might look elsewhere if you need a larger footprint or a different material. Some families prefer dual towers or extra swing stations. The alternatives listed here were chosen because their specifications overlap with the original set. They share similar wood construction and play features but vary in dimensions and capacity. These specs help you decide which structure best suits your property and your children’s needs.
Our top pick: Gorilla Playsets Outing Cedar Swing Set with Wood Roof.
Comparing swing set alternatives
Albott 14' x 24' Double Tower Wooden Swing Set
The Albott Double Tower model expands your play space significantly with a 14-by-24-foot footprint and dual towers. It weighs 556 pounds, which is much heavier than the Gorilla Outing’s 320 pounds. This structure includes two distinct slide styles and a combined swing setup across its two levels. You get more vertical play area and varied movement options. However, you need a larger yard to accommodate its size. If your property has ample clearance and you want a multi-level experience, this premium option offers greater complexity than the single-tower Gorilla design.
Backyard Discovery Canyon Creek Cedar Swing Set
The Backyard Discovery Canyon Creek set features a two-level clubhouse and an eight-foot slide. It weighs 493 pounds, exceeding the Gorilla Outing’s 320 pounds. This cedar playset includes three swing stations and a lower picnic kitchen, adding a social element not found in the Gorilla model. You gain more structural height and dedicated pretend play areas. The trade-off is a larger footprint and higher weight. This option suits families who want an all-in-one center with kitchen features and multiple climbing levels, rather than the simpler, roof-protected layout of the Gorilla Outing.
SunSwell Fir Wood Swing Set with Bridge
The SunSwell Fir Wood Swing Set with Bridge prioritizes group capacity with a 13-child limit. It spans a 20-foot width and weighs significantly more than the Gorilla Outing. This model includes an elevated bridge and diverse swinging stations designed for large groups. You get a broader footprint and more simultaneous play opportunities. The trade-off is a much larger yard requirement and less focus on individual climbing walls. If you frequently host larger gatherings or have a spacious backyard, this fir wood set provides superior group dynamics compared to the Gorilla Outing’s smaller, family-sized layout.
Backyard Discovery Sterling Point Cedar Swing Set
The Backyard Discovery Sterling Point Cedar Swing Set is a massive structure measuring 246 by 201 inches. It weighs 606 pounds, nearly double the Gorilla Outing’s weight. This set includes a connecting timber bridge, a 10-foot wave slide, and four swing stations. You receive extensive climbing options and a larger play deck. The trade-off is the need for substantial open clearance and a much heavier installation. This cedar set is ideal for large yards where you want a comprehensive, multi-feature structure. It offers more climbing and swinging variety than the Gorilla Outing’s three-station configuration.
Gorilla Playsets Outing Wood Swing Set with Monkey Bars
The Gorilla Playsets Outing with Monkey Bars keeps the same 180-inch width and 114-inch height as the original model. It weighs 357 pounds, slightly more than the 320-pound Gorilla Outing. This version replaces the slide and climbing wall with monkey bars and a 4-foot play deck. You get enhanced upper-body climbing features and a different play style. The trade-off is the loss of the alpine wave slide and rock wall. If you prefer monkey bars over a slide and climbing wall, this variant offers a similar footprint with a focus on swinging and horizontal climbing.
Backyard Discovery Cedar Cove Dual-Slide Swing Set
The Backyard Discovery Cedar Cove Dual-Slide Swing Set features a 183-inch width and 220-inch length. It weighs 492 pounds, significantly heavier than the Gorilla Outing. This cedar set includes dual slides and climbing walls, offering more sliding options and vertical climbing features. You get a larger footprint and more heavy-duty construction. The trade-off is a much larger yard requirement and increased weight. If you have ample space and want multiple slide types and climbing walls, this dual-slide option provides more varied play features than the Gorilla Outing’s single slide and rock wall setup.
