The Aivello also features a play kitchen with a sink and stove, but adds a belt swing, striped awning, tic-tac-toe board, lookout windows, and a pet door. The Aivello provides more diverse external play options with the swing and games. BTMWAY offers more detailed interior accessories like the birdcage and flowerpot holders. Choose BTMWAY for detailed role-play props. Choose Aivello for active swinging and board games.
Material and finish
Both products are built from natural cedar wood, which is naturally resistant to decay and less prone to cracking than ordinary pine. The BTMWAY comes with a water-based finish and is available in white. The Aivello is also cedar but is described as having an ivory white color. Both materials provide a warm, natural grain compared to plastic. The BTMWAY notes that re-applying a wood sealant once a year helps maintain its color. The Aivello includes reinforced swing hardware and ground anchors for outdoor stability. Both use durable, weather-resistant cedar, making this a tie for material quality.
Target audience
The BTMWAY is recommended for children aged 3 to 8 years. The Aivello is also designed for ages 3 to 8 years. Both products share the same age range, ensuring they are suitable for preschoolers and early elementary children. The BTMWAY specifically mentions fitting 2 to 4 children at once inside the house. The Aivello’s larger size and swing set also accommodate multiple children playing simultaneously. Since both target the same demographic and support group play, neither has an advantage in suitability for your child's age group. They are equally appropriate for this stage of development.
Build and assembly
Both playsets are designed for assembly by two adults. The BTMWAY features pre-cut and pre-drilled panels with sorted and labeled hardware. The manual shows every screw in place, typically taking 1 to 2 hours to complete. The Aivello also uses pre-cut, pre-drilled, and labeled lumber, making the build manageable for one afternoon. Both products prioritize ease of construction with clear instructions and organized hardware. The BTMWAY specifies a 1-2 hour timeframe, while the Aivello suggests a single afternoon. Both offer straightforward assembly processes without requiring professional tools or skills, making them accessible for weekend projects.
Which playhouse fits your space
Small yard owners needing compact play
The BTMWAY Cedar Wood Playhouse fits smaller areas with a 39-inch width and 36.6-inch depth. Its 55.5-inch height keeps it low profile. This compact size allows it to sit on patios or in corners without dominating the yard, making it ideal for limited outdoor space.
Families wanting integrated swing and play
The Aivello combines a playhouse with a swing set in one unit. Measuring 86 inches wide and 61 inches high, it offers a larger footprint for active play. This 2-in-1 design saves you from buying separate equipment, providing both climbing and swinging activities in a single cedar structure.
