Who it fits

BIERUM Swing Set Key Specs

Material: HDPE

High-density polyethylene is a durable, odorless plastic that resists weathering and cracking. This material choice ensures the slide surface remains smooth and comfortable for bare skin. It also meets ASTM and CPSIA safety certifications, giving you confidence in the structural integrity. Unlike metal frames that can heat up or rust, HDPE requires minimal maintenance and stays cool in direct sunlight.

Weight Capacity: 120 lbs

This limit accommodates most toddlers and young children, extending the product's usability beyond the typical 1-3 year range. You can trust the structure to remain stable even if a slightly heavier child uses the swing or slide. This capacity is higher than many basic plastic playhouses, allowing for shared play or older siblings joining in without risking structural failure.

Age Range: 1-3 years

The design features low steps, a short slide, and a safety baffle to prevent toddlers from leaning out. These elements are tailored for children under 36 inches tall. This specific range ensures the playset is accessible for early walkers while providing necessary guards for developing balance. It is ideal for backyard spaces where supervision is easy and the play height is manageable.

Installation Type: Add water or sand to base

The swing set relies on ballast for stability rather than permanent ground anchoring. You fill the designated base compartments with water or sand to weigh down the unit. This method allows for easy relocation or storage when not in use. It is particularly useful for renters or those with limited yard space who cannot install permanent concrete footings.

Assembled Dimensions: 84 in x 67 in x 39 in

These measurements define the footprint and height of the playset. The 84 by 67 inch base requires a modest area, fitting well on patios or in smaller backyards. The 39 inch height is low enough to minimize fall risks for toddlers. When shopping, compare this footprint to your available space to ensure there is adequate clearance around the structure for safe play.

Design and Build Quality

The structure is built from high-density polyethylene, a durable plastic that resists weathering and cracking. According to the listing, this material is odorless and meets ASTM and CPSIA safety standards. The smooth surface ensures a comfortable sliding experience for bare skin. The unit weighs 41 pounds, which helps keep it stable during play. It measures 84 by 67 by 39 inches when assembled. These dimensions fit comfortably on patios or in small backyard areas. The compact footprint allows you to place it in tight spaces without taking up too much room.

The layout features five distinct play zones in one unit. It includes a bus play house with a functional door and steering wheel for imaginative driving games. A single swing seat comes with a detachable cushion and four base suction cups for added comfort. A safety baffle prevents toddlers from leaning forward or sliding out. The slide has a closed staircase design with three sections to manage speed safely. This prevents feet from slipping through the steps. You can add water or sand to the base to increase stability. The white and gray color scheme offers a neutral look that blends with outdoor decor.

Setup and Everyday Use Guide

Setting up this BIERUM swing set requires careful attention to the base stability. The listing recommends adding water or sand to the base to ensure the structure remains steady during play. This step is critical for safety, especially since the unit includes a swing and slide. The assembled dimensions are 84 inches long, 67 inches wide, and 39 inches high. You should verify that all connections are secure before allowing children to use the equipment. The swing seat can be folded for storage or transport. When folding, keep the smooth surface on top and the grooved surface on the bottom or back. This specific orientation helps protect the material and maintains the integrity of the seat. For daily use, the set is designed for toddlers aged one to three years. The weight capacity is 120 pounds, which accommodates most children in this age group. The swing features a detachable cushion and four base suction cups for added comfort and grip. A safety baffle prevents toddlers from leaning forward or sliding out, which is a practical feature for younger users. The bus play house allows children to open the door and interact with the steering wheel and horn. Before initial use, wipe the playset with a clean cloth to remove any dust accumulated during storage or shipping. The closed staircase design includes acceleration, deceleration, and buffer zones. This structure helps children manage their speed safely while sliding. The closed steps also reduce the risk of feet getting stuck or slipping, providing a more secure climbing experience for small children.

Before You Buy This Toddler Set

This BIERUM set is built for toddlers aged one to three, with a strict height limit of thirty-six inches. You must verify that your child fits these physical constraints before purchasing. The structure requires you to fill the base with water or sand for stability, so ensure you have access to a hose or a bag of play sand nearby. Upkeep involves wiping the unit with a clean cloth to remove dust from storage or transport. The HDPE material is odorless and certified by ASTM and CPSIA, which simplifies maintenance compared to metal frames that may rust. When comparing this to the 1 other options on the page, note that this model focuses on a compact footprint of eighty-four by sixty-seven by thirty-nine inches. It is ideal for small patios where space is limited. The single swing seat includes a detachable cushion, but you should check if the suction cups adhere properly to your patio surface. This unit serves as a standalone playhouse and slide rather than a large backyard system.

Check before you buy

• Verify your child is under thirty-six inches tall.
• Ensure you have water or sand for the base.
• Check that your patio surface accepts suction cups.
• Confirm you have space for the eighty-four inch length.
