How each alternative compares
Backyard Discovery Canyon Creek Cedar Swing Set
The Backyard Discovery Canyon Creek Cedar Swing Set shifts focus from vertical climbing to horizontal play zones. It features a two-level playhouse with a pretend kitchen and picnic accessories, unlike the Highlander’s rock wall and telescope. This model is wider at 205 inches but shorter at 119 inches, making it better for wide, shallow yards. It includes three swinging stations with varied swing types, offering different motion than the Highlander’s belt and web disc swings. You get a lighter structure at 493 pounds, which may simplify assembly. Choose this if you prefer ground-level interactive play over multi-story elevation.
Backyard Discovery Sterling Point Cedar Swing Set
The Backyard Discovery Sterling Point Cedar Swing Set expands the footprint significantly to 246 inches wide and 201 inches long. It replaces the Highlander’s single clubhouse with a sprawling layout featuring an elevated bridge connecting two play zones. This set includes four swing stations and dual climbing setups, providing more simultaneous activity options. It stands 130 inches high, slightly lower than the Highlander’s 153-inch height. The cedar construction remains consistent, but the weight is similar at 606 pounds. Gorilla Playsets Outing Cedar Dual Slide Swing Set
The Gorilla Playsets Outing Cedar Dual Slide Swing Set offers a compact alternative with a 180-by-150-inch footprint. Backyard Discovery Cedar Cove Dual-Slide Swing Set
The Backyard Discovery Cedar Cove Dual-Slide Swing Set combines a tube slide and a wave slide, offering more variety than the Highlander’s single wave slide. It features a multi-level playhouse but lacks the rock wall and three-story elevation. The footprint is 183 inches wide and 220 inches long, extending further back than the Highlander. It includes a disc swing and other accessories for diverse play. Weighing 492 pounds, it is lighter than the Highlander.
