This list covers 6 similar picks that match your needs without requiring you to guess about features.
How these cedar sets compare
Backyard Discovery Tanglewood Cedar Swing Set
The Tanglewood is wider and longer than the Belmont, offering more ground coverage with its 142-inch width and 175-inch length. It includes a clubhouse and snack bar, providing enclosed social space that the open deck lacks. You get a climbing wall instead of a rock wall ladder, changing the climbing style. The height is slightly lower at 106 inches. This set suits families wanting a more enclosed clubhouse experience. It sacrifices the Belmont’s specific wave slide design for a different play structure. Choose this if you prefer a larger footprint with distinct zones for sitting and climbing.
Backyard Discovery Woodland Cedar Swing Set
The Woodland is significantly larger, measuring 200 inches wide and 136 inches high. It features dual-level houses, offering more vertical play complexity than the Belmont’s single raised deck. The weight is 478 pounds, indicating a sturdier build. It includes a slide and climbing wall, similar to the Belmont but on a grander scale. This set is for those with very large yards who need extensive multi-feature play areas. You give up the compact footprint of the Belmont for a massive cedar structure. It is best for families wanting a premium, comprehensive play center that dominates the backyard space.
Backyard Discovery Mount McKinley Cedar Swing Set
The Mount McKinley is 150 inches wide and 186 inches long, larger than the Belmont in length but narrower in width. It offers extensive climbing and swinging options within a cedar frame. The height is 119 inches, slightly taller than the Belmont. This set focuses on durable cedar construction with a solid warranty. It lacks the specific snack bar window and wave slide of the Belmont. You get a more traditional climbing and swinging layout. Pick this if you want a spacious cedar play center with robust climbing features. It is ideal for large yards where you prioritize climbing versatility over specialized sliding or snacking areas.
Backyard Discovery Canyon Creek Cedar Playset
The Canyon Creek is 183 inches wide and 188 inches long, providing a broad footprint. It features a clubhouse and slide, offering enclosed play space unlike the Belmont’s open deck. The height is 119 inches, matching the Mount McKinley. It is a robust cedar structure with a green slide. This set suits families wanting a multi-level experience with a clubhouse. You trade the Belmont’s rock wall ladder and wave slide for a different climbing and sliding configuration. It is best for large yards where you desire a comprehensive play area with distinct social and active zones within a durable cedar build.
Sportspower Cedar Wooden Playset with Saucer Swing
The Sportspower set is smaller, measuring 107 inches wide and 137 inches long. It includes a saucer swing and a sandbox, offering unique play options not found on the Belmont. The height is 98 inches, significantly lower than the Belmont’s raised deck. It features a climbing wall and a playfort. This set is ideal for young children who prefer ground-level or low-height play. You give up the elevated deck and wave slide for a safer, lower structure. It is best for families with younger kids who value a sandbox and saucer swing. Choose this if you need a compact cedar set with varied, low-profile activities.
Backyard Discovery Sterling Point Cedar Swing Set
The Sterling Point is the largest set, measuring 246 inches wide and 201 inches long. It features a raised clubhouse and multiple climbing features. The height is 130 inches, taller than the Belmont. It weighs 606 pounds, indicating a very heavy, sturdy build. This set is for families with ample space wanting a comprehensive play structure. You trade the Belmont’s compact design for a massive cedar clubhouse. It lacks the specific wave slide and rock wall ladder of the Belmont. Pick this if you need the ultimate cedar playset with extensive climbing and social spaces. It is best for large yards requiring a dominant, feature-rich structure.
