It is ideal for yards with ample space to accommodate its 169-inch length and 149-inch width without crowding.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if your yard is small. The assembled dimensions of 169 inches by 149 inches require significant space. If you prefer metal or plastic frames for lower maintenance, this wooden construction may not suit you. The set also lacks additional features like a slide or sandbox, focusing solely on swinging and climbing activities.

Key specs explained for Avenlur Sycamore
Material: Wooden frame
The structure uses a heavy-duty wooden frame rather than metal or plastic. This material choice provides a natural aesthetic that blends with backyard landscapes. Wood offers solid stability for active climbing and swinging. You should consider this if you prefer traditional playground looks. Compare this to vinyl-coated steel sets for maintenance differences. Wooden frames often require periodic sealing to withstand outdoor weather conditions.
Weight Capacity: 500 lbs total
This swing set supports a combined load of 500 pounds across all users. This high limit allows multiple children to play simultaneously without stressing the structure. It ensures safety for older kids or adults joining in supervision. You benefit from this capacity during family gatherings or playdates. Compare this to smaller sets that may limit users to one or two children. Always distribute weight evenly across the frame for optimal stability.
Number of Swings: 2 belt swings
The set includes two classic belt swings for seated swinging activities. Belt swings are durable and support various body types comfortably. This count allows two children to swing at the same time. You get dedicated spots for back-and-forth motion without waiting. Compare this to sets offering only one swing or different seat types. The belt design is simple to clean and resistant to wear.
Assembled Dimensions: 169"L x 149"W x 74.3"H
The assembled footprint measures 169 inches in length and 149 inches in width. The height reaches 74.3 inches, providing ample clearance for trapeze use. This large size accommodates multiple children playing together safely. You need a spacious yard to fit this structure without crowding. Compare these dimensions to compact sets for smaller yards. Ensure you have enough ground space for safe fall zones around the perimeter.
Design and Build Overview
According to the listing, the Avenlur Sycamore Wooden Swing Set features a heavy-duty wooden frame. This material choice provides a natural aesthetic that blends with backyard landscapes. Wood offers solid stability for active climbing and swinging. The structure is finished in a natural color, which helps it fit into outdoor environments without standing out as artificial plastic or metal.
The assembled dimensions are substantial. The listing specifies a length of 169 inches, a width of 149 inches, and a height of 74.3 inches. This large footprint allows multiple children to play together safely. The spacious design supports group play, making it ideal for families or playdates. You will need adequate yard space to accommodate this size.
The set supports up to 500 lbs total weight capacity. This limit applies to the entire structure, not just individual swings. The layout includes two belt swings and a trapeze bar. These components are mounted to the sturdy wooden frame. The jungle theme is integrated into the design. This configuration encourages active movement and coordination. You should ensure the ground beneath is suitable for impact absorption given the height and weight limits.
Setup and Everyday Use
The Avenlur Sycamore Wooden Swing Set requires a clear, level area to accommodate its substantial footprint. The assembled dimensions are 169 inches in length, 149 inches in width, and 74.3 inches in height. You must ensure your yard has enough open space around the structure for safe swinging and climbing. The jungle theme design suggests placing it where children can access the climbing ladder and trapeze bar without obstruction. Assembling the heavy-duty wooden frame involves following the manufacturer’s instructions for the quality hardware included. Proper assembly is critical for maintaining the 500 lbs total weight capacity. Once built, the set supports two belt swings and a trapeze bar simultaneously. This configuration allows multiple children to play together without crowding. The natural wood finish blends with outdoor landscapes, requiring minimal visual maintenance. Daily use involves swinging on the belt seats and hanging from the trapeze bar. The spacious design encourages group play, making it suitable for playdates or family gatherings. You should inspect the wooden frame and hardware regularly to ensure stability. The sturdy construction is engineered for long-lasting outdoor use, but consistent checks help preserve safety. Ensure that the ground beneath the swings is appropriate for impact absorption. The large footprint allows for varied activities, including climbing and swinging, all within one structure. This setup supports active outdoor play while maintaining a secure environment for children.
